One day in HAT YAI



February 6 (Monday)

  • OTOP (One Tambon One Product)
  • Central Festival Mall
  • Municipal Park


We headed off to Hat Yai city using public transport. With average cost 30 THB we get to Hat Yai city for 45 minutes driving a van. Ajarn Narong was waiting with his car and we go to the Convention Hall to see the OTOP. There was sold a wide range of products from clothes to food --the food is the best product of each region--. We're not shopping, just have a look around and then order a bowl of noodles processed kosher to eat.

After that, we went to the Central Festival mall to look around again. From central festival, we could see some tall building in the neighborhood of the town center of Hat Yai. In addition, we also take pictures at some of the interesting spots inside and outside the building. Because this month is the month of love, then there is some ornaments that represent a warning such as valentines day flowers and pink balloons.

After that we went on a trip to the Municipal Park, the Park is located at the top of the mountain. The road to the Summit so many twists but harmless. Before getting to the top shrine we passed several other temples with sculptures are so big and beautiful.
The statue that is on top is the statue of the Buddha shrine stands, the image is colored gold and from the front of the temple we can see the entire city of Hat Yai. Because we arrived too late in the afternoon, we didn't get to see the sunset of yesterday evening (again) but the view of the city lights with thousands little lights can treat disappointment because the left view of the sunset.

Sampeng Market February 11 (Sund ay ) Sampeng Market at China Town Grab taxi and Uber From the hostel, if you have some friends for more economical if you want to travel using the grab or uber rather than train (MRT). If the train rides from lumphini we need 42 THB to caktucak market, then with a grab or uber taxi we need biata around 120 THB for 4 people. Whereas for the Sampeng market need only 60-80 THB for 4 people (I am not recommend to board the train, ribet). If you want to shopping some Thai gifts, I recommend to Caktucak market. There the price of clothes (t-shirt) range between 90-150 THB per sheet. While the key chain 15-20 THB per piece. If you want to buy some clothes, accessories, key chains (not the typical Thailand) it would be nice to go to Sampeng Market. Chalatat Beach, Songkhla February 5 (Sunday) E vening walk on the Chalatat beach There is no special agenda today, Ajarn Narong cancel our schedule  to go to Hat Yai city because he has classes from morning to afternoon. But we will reorder our vacation schedules in the fourth weekend, last weekend. Ajarn narong is very good, he meet us at Parichat dorm to discuss our schedule to Hat Yai tomorrow. And the decision we take is to go to Hat Yai tomorrow afternoon and we will walk to the beach this evening with Ajarn Narong. The beach which we will go is the Chalatat Beach. We've never been to it, it will surely be fun. Before arriving at the beach, we decided to get off at the roadside market to buy some food to eat while on the beach later and walk to the beach. Songkhla city streets getting crowded afternoon around the beach on Sundays, there's an awful lot of food from snacks to a heavy meal. Super big Crapes

Cat and Rat, Bye Samila Beach! February 10 ( Fri day ) Good morning and Good night Samila Beach Ajarn Toys and Ajarn Narong Early morning, the Mrs. Tatik already busy preparing breakfast for us, while we breakfast she goes to Danar school. It turns out that this woman's career, life in any country it is. But she is a great woman, Mrs. Tatik doing everything by her self without housekeepers as much we encounter in Indonesian. Ha ha ha After dropping off Danar to school, she went to the campus to teach. We also are ready to go back to the dorm, but before departing she didn't forget wrap all foods that could be wrapped and taken to our stock in the dorm. On the way we are afraid of troublesome Mrs. Tatik, so we asked her to drop us at the waterfront because it would like to play for a bit. Mrs. Tatik reluctantly dropped us off.
