Day 8 - SEATEACHER

The Great Serpent Nag




January 22 (Sunday)

  We use sunday morning to wash clothes in the dorm. Around 9.00 am we went to the market in front of the university to buy breakfast and after that we walk around in the university and talking many things together. We arrived to the dorm at 11.00 am.
 At 11.45, Mrs. Tatik and her friend Mr. Rashid pick us up at our dorm to go to Mrs. Tatik's house. But only five of us because Charles going to church with Ms. Risa (one of the professors that we met at the language center of SKRU).
 Mrs. Tatik lives with her husband and only daughter, Danar. Mrs. Tatik says that her husband, Mr. Darto was in Jakarta on business. While Mr. Rashid lecturers from Indonesia were neighbors who lived next to her house.
 During at Mrs. Tatik's house, we treated to plenty of food, cakes, fruits, soup and much more. Very fun to visit to her house like being at home, in Indonesia.

 Afternoon after Asr prayer, we were taken for a walk to the beach, it's fun to spend a holiday in Songkhla. Especially beaches, here all public facilities (beach and park) can be enjoyed for free at no charge. The first place we go is The Great Serpent Nag.
*) Singapore has a Merlion, Banjarmasin has Bekantan Statue and Songkhla has The Great Serpent Nag

 After that we went to Samila Beach. Yeay! Samila Beach, destination Highlight in Songkhla. Do not come here, it's like not to Songkhla it. Samila beach with rocks extending into the sea. Beach Often referred to as 'Sai Kaew' surrounded by pine trees. Views and my Cat Island is famous symbol is the Golden Mermaid statue. Visitors then have to take a souvenir too. It is believed that if you rub the breast of a statue of a mermaid.
 
*) The Songkhla Mermaid is officially named the Golden Mermaid, or Nang Nguek Thong.

 One day will not be forgotten. Thank you Mrs. Tatik. Thank you Mr. Rashid.
